1000 Women is a movement comprised of committed, powerful, and compassionate women who strive to remove barriers to education. By raising funds for initiatives that help students in need achieve their academic goals, 1000 Women provides the support necessary for learners to start and complete their education. From there, students can pursue thriving careers and embrace their own power and independence.
Changing lives since 2010
In the beginning, we were met with doubt that a women-led philanthropic movement would be successful. But what we discovered is the exact opposite: the power of women’s philanthropy is nothing short of amazing.
Since 2010, 1000 Women has raised over $5.5 million dollars, providing necessary funding to help students in need pursue their education and enter a space of learning and growth.

2010-20121000 Women’s first official campaign that raised $1 million dollars for the Million Possibilities Endowment Fund

2012- 2016Raised $1 million dollars to provide funding for the 1000 Women Childcare Centre

2016- 2019Raised $1 million dollars to create the 1000 Women Learner Access Bursary and the 1000 Women Child Care Access Bursary

2019-present1000Women4STEM, our largest campaign to date, has raised $1,547,566 towards our goal of $3 million
1000Women4Stem
By removing barriers to education, 1000 Women provides fully funded diplomas to women who have the interest and drive but not the means to receive a STEM-related education. Your contributions help women receive the education they need to prepare them for career opportunities while also making the STEM industry more equitable, inclusive, and diverse.
