Jackie Nelson joined NorQuest College in 2016 as the dean of the Faculty of Health and Community Studies, and has since served in numerous portfolios across the college, advancing strategic partnerships and projects.
As Vice President, External Relations at NorQuest College, she plays a vital role in enhancing and amplifying the college’s brand, cultivating mutually beneficial relationships with strategically significant individuals and organizations, and leading a diverse team of creative, energetic, and passionate professionals.
Jackie has over 15 years of experience in the health and education sectors. Before beginning her career in post-secondary education, Jackie ran the Edmonton West Primary Care Network and served as the vice president of a critical access hospital in Maine, USA. Throughout her experience, Jackie has also held several clinical care and health system-focused roles, and participates on a number of non-profit boards.
Jackie graduated from the University of Alberta with a bachelor of science in nursing and a master’s degree in public health – health policy and management.
