From Class to Career at Career Fair 2025

NorQuest’s fourth annual Career Fair on Tuesday, March 4 exceeded expectations. From in-person employer booths to online career development sessions, 3,119 learners attended this year’s event. It was a great success for the college and an example of the supports provided to NorQuest learners from class to career.
This exciting event provided students with the unique opportunity to practice their professional skills, build valuable networks, and receive expert career advice to help shape their future careers.
The Career Fair plays a pivotal role in supporting NorQuest students. Attending the fair helps students build confidence, gain insights into potential career paths, and feel more prepared for the job market. For many, it is a key step in their journey toward becoming work-ready professionals.
JP Domingo, a Business Administration student and peer resume reviewer in the Career Centre, shared that attending the Career Fair is a great opportunity to network and build confidence.
“Events like these build your confidence. It helps you learn about companies but also learn about yourself and how your skills align with different companies,” he said.
In Alberta, as in many parts of the world, there is a growing demand for individuals who possess not only academic knowledge but also the hands-on expertise that comes from career-focused and skills-based qualifications. By attending the Career Fair, NorQuest students are positioning themselves at the forefront of this shift, ready to take on meaningful roles in industries that are crucial to the economy and society.
"The Career Fair connects learners to industry, builds skills, and prepares them for the workplace.” says Sarah Erickson, Academic Program Manager, Work Integrated Learning and Career Education Centre. "We are grateful to our amazing employer-partners for their support of NorQuest and our learners in their journey from class to career.”
