Brooke holds a Master of Arts in Conflict Transformation and Peacebuilding from the European Graduate School in Malta/Switzerland. Since 2010, she has worked as a freelance community facilitator, focusing on social justice and EDI, with a specialization in accessibility.
Her work is informed by a range of perspectives, including intercultural, class, queer, and feminist viewpoints. Brooke’s work has included delivering EDI training, strategic planning, and conflict transformation sessions for municipalities, community organizations, festivals, events, and more. She also has extensive experience as an accessibility consultant within the arts and culture sector.
As the Research Chair in Workplace Inclusion and Accessibility at the Colbourne Institute, she hopes to create new, accessible (google-able) knowledge for all organizations to have the resources to diversify their workforce, creating equitable opportunities for all to thrive and feel included.
This work allows her to apply her passions, thinking deeply, critically and strategically all day long. She enjoys the opportunity to chew on some large problems that plague us on all levels of experience, particularly the question, “How do we all feel included and valued in our space of work and larger society?”
Her passion outside of work lies in performance art. In 2024, she held fellowships in Stuttgart, Germany at the Akademie Schloss Solitude, and Budapest, Hungary at the Arts Quarter Budapest.
She also enjoys philosophy and wants to meet all your dogs.
