Making a disclosure

If this is your first time disclosing, it’s normal to feel unsure about what to do next. We’re here to guide you every step of the way, and we’ll make sure you understand what to expect.

  • 1

    Make a disclosure

Contact the Safe Disclosure Office through our disclosure form to share your concern, or book a meeting.

  • 2

    Meet and discuss

Within two business days, we’ll reach out to book a meeting to listen to your concerns, review your information, and help you explore your options.

  • 3

    Decide your next steps

You’ll receive guidance to decide your next steps. Any action, solutions, or referrals happen only with your consent. You can stop the process at any time.

Moving forward

What happens next depends on what you have shared and the actions you feel comfortable with. Our team may:

  • Connect you with supports at NorQuest College and beyond.
  • Guide you through any NorQuest rules and policies that relate to your concern.
  • Help you prepare documents for formal complaints or appeals.

The Safe Disclosure Office cannot change official decisions or replace formal College investigations. We’re here to help you find the right resources and can offer support during appeals.

Have a disclosure you would like to share?

You are protected here

The College wants to create a safe space where everyone can raise concerns about safety and respect in the workplace. If you feel unfairly treated after filing a harassment or discrimination complaint, contact the Safe Disclosure Office, so we can provide more support. The College takes harmful responses to complaints very seriously.

If you experience any issues with the Safe Disclosure Office staff that you cannot resolve with them, you can report them confidentially via email to NorQuest’s General Counsel.

Your privacy matters

The Safe Disclosure Office values your privacy and works hard to protect your identity and the information you share with us. However, in cases of serious concerns, such as child abuse, threats of harm, or when harassment or violence is reported, we must, by law, report these to the proper authorities.

You may choose to make a disclosure without using your name, but you must provide a working email. Follow-up or formal action may not always be possible when we don’t know who you are.
