Students who have emergency situations can seek emergency funding.
Application forms are available from Student Services reception, Room 1-204, Civic Employees Legacy Tower, Edmonton campus.
The college can provide short-term emergency loans to currently enrolled credit students. You must meet with the scholarships and bursaries advisor and show a legitimate need for a loan. Loans are repayable within 30 days or the end of term (whichever comes first). You are eligible to apply for an emergency loan once per term. Students who have not repaid a loan on time are ineligible for further emergency funds.
Non-repayable emergency bursaries also are available to currently enrolled credit students experiencing an unanticipated emergency. You must have exhausted all options before applying for an emergency bursary. You must meet with the scholarships and bursaries advisor and show legitimate need. Bursaries are available to students once per academic year.
Students who have outstanding fees or debts to NorQuest are ineligible to receive emergency loans or bursaries.
