Scholarships, bursaries, and awards are available for students enrolled in a credit program.
What's the difference between a scholarship, bursary, and award?
A scholarship refers to a monetary amount given to a student in recognition of outstanding academic achievement.
A bursary is a monetary amount received based on financial need.
An award is an umbrella term that consists of scholarships and bursaries as well as opportunities that need you to show financial need, academic excellence, community involvement, leadership skills, or a combination of them.
(The term 'award' is a general term we use to refer to all scholarships, bursaries, and awards.)

What is an access bursary?
NorQuest College access bursaries (1000 Women Learner Access Bursary) help students achieve their educational and career goals by helping self-funded learners who are not receiving any other grants or bursaries. These bursaries fall outside of the regular general application terms. Complete this application to apply.
Access bursaries open for applications:
- Fall term – July 2
- Winter term – November 2
- Spring term – March 2
The application for the access bursaries is only for the 1000 Women Learner Access. For all other NorQuest College scholarships, bursaries, and awards, complete the general application.
What are opportunities and recommended opportunities?
The NorQuest College Award System uses the term 'opportunities' when referring to scholarships, bursaries, and awards.
In some cases, individual awards need additional information that is not on the general application. Review the suggested list of 'Recommended opportunities' and provide any information requested to receive further consideration for those awards.
How do I see which awards I am eligible for?
With the NorQuest College Award System, you will not have to spend time searching for awards. By completing the general application, you will be auto-matched to awards for which you meet the eligibility criteria. A list of award opportunities is located under the 'Opportunities' link.I'm an international student. What awards are available to me?
As an international student, you are eligible for all NorQuest College awards, except those that need Canadian citizenship or permanent residency. As long as you meet all the eligibility criteria, you will be considered for awards.Which questions should I complete?

Yes, correct spelling and grammar are important. Your ideas are easier to understand when written clearly, and you want to show the reviewers that you took the time to produce a quality piece of writing.How do I know if my application has been submitted?
If you submit an application, you will see a "submitted" status on your 'My Applications' tab within the award system. If you have an incomplete general application, you will be directed there upon login until it is complete.How do I know if I have received an award?
Approximately four to six weeks after the award deadline, we will email your MyMail email account to inform you if your application has been successful. If you have been selected, you must accept your award online through the NorQuest College Award System. Follow the instructions to review the scholarship offer and click 'Accept' under the appropriate award.How will I receive my award funds?
NorQuest College has partnered with PayMyTuition to process award and scholarship payments. Student will receive their awards via Interac e-transfer. This method will replace all cheques.
IMPORTANT: The Interac e-transfer email containing your money link will be sent to your NorQuest College email address.
Once NorQuest College has finalized processing your award, you will receive a notification from PayMyTuition (studentrefunds@paymytuition.com) to inform you that your Interac e-transfer email will be issued within the next 2 to 5 business days
The Interac e-transfer email will instruct you to log into MyQuest to retrieve your one-time passcode to securely access and collect your payment.
Finding your passcode in MyQuest
You can find your one-time passcode by following these steps-
Log into your MyQuest student portal and access your student homepage.

Select the Refund Passcode tile to locate your one-time passcode. The Interac e-Transfer email will instruct you on where to input the passcode.

Return to the Interac e-Transfer email communication and select ‘Deposit your Money’ or ‘Select a Different Financial Institution’ Button.
Note: If you are set up for auto-deposit, you won't need a one-time passcode. Just select to deposit your funds, sign into your bank and the refund will automatically be deposited when you sign in.

When you select to deposit your funds, you will be redirected to the page below where you must select your Canadian financial institution.
Why does my social insurance number need to be updated?
In compliance with the federal Income Tax Act, NorQuest College will produce a T4A slip for filing with your income tax return. Your T4A will include the student award funding that you have received in the past calendar year. Your social insurance number (SIN) will need to be included on the T4A.
To comply and receive your student award, you can now log into your MyQuest account and update your SIN.
