Withdrawal chart

This chart shows the financial and academic penalties for course drops or program withdrawals before and during the term. Visit Registering in classes for more information on dropping courses or withdrawing from your program.

  • Tuition deposit is entirely non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • If a student’s study permit application is denied and the Office of the Registrar is notified one or more days before the start of the program, the student is eligible to receive a refund of fees, less 25% of the tuition deposit.
  • The U-Pass fee, if paid and picked up, is non-refundable.
  • Full refund of all other tuition and fees already paid in full.

  • No refund for health and dental Insurance, if you have accessed services.
  • A $25 administration fee ($50 for international) will be assessed for a program withdrawal.
  • 100% refund of tuition, Students’ Association fee, registrarial fee, program and supplies fee, textbook rental fee (if applicable), health and dental fee (if you have not accessed services) already paid in full.

Grade of 'W' (Withdrawal) assigned.
Grade is not calculated in grade point average (GPA).
  • 75% refund of tuition less a $25 administrative fee ($50 for international students) for a program withdrawal.
  • All other fees are non-refundable.

Grade of 'W' (Withdrawal) assigned.
Grade is not calculated in GPA.

After more than 50% of each class length has elapsed
Grade of 'WF' (Withdraw/Fail) assigned.
Grade point value of 0.0 or 0% is calculated in GPA.
No refund.
