This course introduces the basic principles that form the foundation on which higher chemistry courses are built. This course covers fundamental chemistry concepts in Engineering, such as atomic theory, bonding models, periodicity of elements, and stoichiometry, as well as the nomenclature used in organic and inorganic chemistry. Energy changes associated with chemical transformations are discussed.
