Communication and Collaboration in Health Care – Theory - COMM 1016

In this course, learners will acquire the skills to collaborate as an effective member of an interdisciplinary health-care team by developing their knowledge of team functional roles, communication strategies, conflict management, and cultural competency. Students will learn to adapt communication strategies to perform client interviews and develop effective therapeutic relationships.

Note: Prerequisites: COMM 1001, ENGL 2510, RHAB 1001, WELL 1000, and (ASCL 1000 OR THPR 2020) Restricted to Interdisciplinary Therapy Assistant
