Method II - Advancing Helping Skills - CYCD 2016

This course builds on the foundational skills that are developed in Introduction to Helping Skills. Students will begin to elevate their practice in relation to therapeutic conversations with young people.  Different intervention techniques and approaches such as Motivational Interviewing and suicide intervention will be explored and practiced so that students feel confident in their ability to guide, follow, direct and empower young people in a way that facilitates the natural change process’.
