Basic Hospital Skills and Concepts - HLTH 1023

Examine safety in an acute care environment, including basic safety concepts and skills. You will learn to respond to emergent and non-emergent situations in a hospital, and topics will include your role in infection control, patient and visitor safety, and emergency code responses.

Note: Prerequisites: HLTH 1006. Restricted to Hospital Unit Clerk.


This course is offered in an online setting. There are no scheduled classes, and you will learn at your own pace. Courses have start and end dates, assignments may have due dates assigned to them. The lab portion of this course may need to be completed in-person.
