Conscious and unconscious biases are part of being human. During this interactive workshop, participants will examine what bias is and how to mitigate bias. Participants will also learn practices that are helpful to effectively set expectations for valuing diverse viewpoints and facilitating respectful conversations. The information and teaching practices discussed in this workshop can be utilized in a variety of disciplines/areas to promote equity and inclusion.                                                                                                                       By the end of this workshop participants will: - Develop the skills necessary to understand and respond to bias - Learn actionable tools in order to interrupt bias
