This second nursing foundations course builds on the theory and skills learned in Term 1, with a focus on the client and the nurse-client relationship. Topics include the metaparadigm of nursing, safety, professionalism, and leadership, with a focus on the application of these concepts to the client. Emphasis will be placed on using the nursing process, demonstrating critical thinking, applying the concept of self-care, and setting priorities.
