EAL Intensive

Our EAL Intensive program offers full-time and part-time studies to help you achieve your goals. Our classes range from CLB 4 to CLB 8 and are designed to help you improve your English language listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills for further education or employment. We also offer English for Academic Purposes courses to help you meet your specific academic goals.

Our blended model helps you to advance your digital literacy skills and gain experience studying online.  The EAL Intensive program at NorQuest College is certified by Languages Canada.

What to expect from the program

In EAL Intensive, you will learn to:

  • communicate with confidence in a variety of situations
  • improve your pronunciation, speaking fluency, and grammar
  • expand your vocabulary and use of idiomatic language
  • develop reading strategies and effective writing skills
  • build on your digital literacy skills through integrated computer instruction

Code of ethics and quality standards

EAL Intensive students will follow NorQuest College policies and appeal processes. Students may also seek further resolution through the Languages Canada Association.

Graduate with experience

In EAL Intensive, you will learn to

English skills are vital for success and promotion in any job or career in Canada. NorQuest’s EAL Intensive program helps you become better qualified for the workplace. Community Service Learning activities are offered as part of our program to help you make contributions to the community and gain work-related skills while studying.
