Do you need help finding work? This program will teach you about working in Canada. You will also get 110 hours of work experience.

What is a Completion certificate

Ministry-approved teaching and learning activities that provide practical training for rapid entry into frontline jobs but do not culminate in a parchment/credential.

What to expect from the program

Are you from a different country? Do you want to learn about work in Canada? Do you have a disability that makes learning hard? This program can help you!

Learning in the classroom

  • In person at our Edmonton campus
  • 3 days per week
  • Practice language skills
  • Learn about Canadian work culture
  • Set goals

Work placement

  • Part-time, unpaid work placement
  • Gain 110 hours of Canadian work experience
  • Support from a career coach
  • Get help to keep your job
  • Access to community resources

Program schedule

  • Orientation
  • Month 1-2: Part-time classes
  • Month 2-3: Part-time classes and work experience
  • Month 4: Part-time work experience

This program is for people who:

  • Are a newcomer to Canada
  • Must be 18+
  • Have a learning or mental health challenge
  • Are ready to start working
