Academic Program Advisors

Academic Program Advisors play a big role in supporting your academic success. They proactively support you by meeting with you to help identify challenges or issues, escalate concerns related to academic success, and connect you to relevant student support services. If you are on academic warning or are required to withdraw from your program, please do not hesitate to reach out to your specific academic program advisor for support.

What is good Academic Standing?

Good academic standing means you are doing well in your studies. It is the minimum academic performance required to continue in your program. To stay in good academic standing, you need to pass your courses and get good grades. This is important because it shows you are making progress in your program and are on track to graduate. If you do not meet the requirements of your courses, you may get a warning and be Required to Withdraw (RTW).

How do Academic Program Advisors help you?

Academic Program Advisors take a proactive approach to supporting learners (that’s you).

You may also be referred to an Academic Program Advisor to:

  • Co-develop a personalized Learning Success Plan to achieve your goals.
  • Discuss academic progress, including correct course order and personalized course planning to get you on track.
  • Discuss the terms of academic warning, academic policies, resources, and support services based on your needs.

It is your responsibility as a learner to access the Academic Program Advisors and review your academic advisement report.
