Community Leader

If you look within our communities, you’ll find a NorQuest graduate transforming lives. They are in our schools, our hospitals, and our businesses, making an impact every day. They are true leaders—in and out of the workplace. And they help make our communities thrive.

This award celebrates a NorQuester, who regardless of title, is leading change in their community.

This award represents a NorQuest graduate who:

  • Demonstrates positive service towards their community
  • Exhibits strong leadership skills
  • Volunteers, contributes to, and/or organizes community events or activities
  • Is committed to helping others within their community and contributing to positive social change

NorQuest graduates are a core part of our community and their impact and leadership goes beyond titles or positions. To be a true leader in your community is to be a part of it, and to lead by example. We have so many graduates doing just that, and this is an amazing opportunity to celebrate them.

2024 Honouree - Hannah Stone

Hannah’s enthusiasm for advocacy and positive social change has been not only evident in the past two years but has been an ongoing passion throughout her life. I have no doubt that this will continue to be a way of life for her. Hannah is very much dedicated to creating an inclusive community where everyone (especially some of the most vulnerable and marginalized people in our population) can feel safe, respected, and have a sense of belonging.
