The Intercultural Child & Family Centre offers a total of 72 spaces for children 12 months to six years of age.
Spaces are open to children of NorQuest College students and employees, and the general community.
The Intercultural Child and Family Centre (ICFC), work collaboratively to create an environment where learning occurs for the children, students, educators and faculty within our two communities.
Our educators are lifelong learners who are curious about the world and invite children to be curious alongside them. We support and learn from the families whose children are in our care. Educators and faculty collaborate, mentor, and facilitate the sharing of emergent practices.
As part of the local and broader early childhood community, we model current and emerging best practices in Early Learning and Child Care and strive to be leaders in developing and disseminating knowledge about culturally responsive child care practice. We may support applied research initiatives that have met both college and child care centre ethics approval and processes.
Our mission
ICFC is committed to providing high quality, culturally responsive early learning and care for children while supporting families, fostering community, and building the capacity of our educators.
Our vision
ICFC strives to be a centre of research and learning and to be a leader in culturally responsive early learning and care. We aim to nurture children, support families and educators, and build community through a commitment to current and emerging early learning and child care and intercultural practices.
