National College Health Assessment
NorQuest College students take part in the National College Health Assessment, a nationally recognized online research survey that collects data on college student health status, behaviours, and beliefs on a wide range of topics, including:
- alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use
- sexual health
- weight, nutrition, and exercise
- mental health
- personal safety and violence

The following Executive Summaries highlight the results from the 2018 and 2019 surveys, administered to a random sample of NorQuest College academic upgrading and post-secondary program students, aged 18 and older, coordinated by Student Wellness Services.

Student Wellness Climate Survey
This survey is a pencil-and-paper questionnaire that asks similar questions to the NCHA II, but in a plain English format. It is designed for language learners (CLB level 5+ and lower-level academic upgrading students.

Participation in the NCHA II was funded by the Government of Alberta, Post-Secondary Student Mental Health Grant. The NCHA II and the Student Wellness Survey are approved research projects at NorQuest College. Email the Centre for Growth and Harmony at wellness@norquest.ca for more information.
