Media, Technology, and Society - COMM 2004

In this course, students will examine the dynamic relationship between society and evolving media technologies. Students will explore the participatory culture of social media where users themselves become mediated entities for one another. Through hands-on work with technology, students will learn how to harness digital corpus tools to collect and analyze social media data, fostering a deep, analytical understanding of the networks and norms that shape our digitally mediated world. This course offers a substantial footing for understanding and navigating the complex interplay between media, technology, and societal structures.
