In this history of communications course, students will explore the bi-directional relationship between communications systems and culture. Emphasizing the way images, text, information, and culture are relayed and reshaped across time, this course encourages students to critically examine their own participation in these systems. Through this lens of history, students will explore how past and present communications have been shaped and in turn shape society, fostering a richer understanding of the media landscapes we navigate daily.Note: Restricted to Arts and Sciences and Open Studies
